Blossom Restaurant
City Center Las Vegas

The Formal Chinese Restaurant is a 7100 square foot dining venue located within the much anticipated City Center development in Las Vegas, NV. The inspiration for the design came from the idea of an enchanting Chinese garden complete w/ trellis canopies, terraced levels, bird-cage enclosed dining and mirror mosaic foliage. This vision was interpreted with a unique and modern color palette/materiality of jade green and vibrant fuchsia with hints of silvery grey accents. The feeling guests will experience in the space is that of serenity derived from an interpretation of modern Chinese elegance. A cultural sensitivity reflective of Chinese customs, the space incorporates architectural elements with restraint yet celebrates the richness of Chinese culture, with delicate details punctuated by non-traditional vibrant colors. Emphasis was made on selection and use of natural materials that could represent the design. Many of the materials are 100% recyclable and sustainable while special care was taken to ensure all materials met LEED certification standards.

Studio A Design, a newly formed interior design group, is causing a stir within the hospitality industry with projects in Miami, Chicago and New York. Founded by Anthea Bosch and Arezoo Shafizadeh, Studio A Design looks to create innovative environments that are harmonious in aesthetic and functionality.

From inception Studio A has created a reputation and is gaining attention from big names in the hospitality industry like Rick Wahlstedt, who tapped Bosh and Shafizadeh for 2 new projects including a new North Michigan Avenue restaurant with a Bar, Restaurant and Panini café in Chicago, as well as a Ruhlmann inspired French Brasserie.

Wahlstedt isn't the only restauranteur to notice Studio A. KNR Restaurant Group recently asked the design duo to create a dynamic space for a new Miami restaurant named 'Quattro" in addition to 'Mokai" , a hip new club/lounge in South Beach set to open this spring. To add to the list, Studio A Design has also been retained by Rose Associates Inc., the well established Manhattan development company, to design its new luxury rental residential tower called Chelsea Landmark".

"Studio A Design understands how to create a unique dining environment that captures a detailed sensibility with relation to the small touches that make a dining experience memorable and inviting, while at the same time maintaining the functional and practical elements necessary for a successful high traffic restaurant", explains Rick Wahlstedt.

"During the entire development process of our two Miami projects, and considering all the disciplines involved in building a new restaurant or a club, Studio A Design has been a shining star on the rise", comments Karim Masri of KNR Restaurant Group.

Bosch's and Shafizadeh's approach to interior design conveys a cosmopolitan outlook that reflects their diverse cultural backgrounds. The designers are slums of top firms like Rockwell Group, BBGM and Jeffrey Beers International where they perfected their craft producing projects that have received awards and been recognized in a variety of hospitality and interior design publications before striking out on their own. Anthea Bosch is a native South African that has lived in New York for the past 10 years. Prior to moving to New York and grounding her career in design, she lived in Milan, Madrid, Athens, Zurich and Mexico City. Arezoo Shafizadeh was born in Iran prior to moving to Vancouver, Canada at a young age and where she pursued her education in interior design before coming to New York eight years ago.
